Welcome to another Wednesday! For some inexplicable reason, I’ve jumped back into Tropico 4 lately. Why Tropico 4 and not the two other versions that have come out since? Well, because I’m too lazy to buy another one, and I don’t know what I’m missing. I had a hankering to benevolently rule an island and no hankering at all to research which edition is best. I also picked up Vampire Survivors for mobile while traveling, and it turns out it’s the perfect game for whiling away some time on a train. I was feeling pretty good about lasting eight minutes or so until I just looked at how long other people spend on a single playthrough and now I remember why I don’t usually play roguelikes.
Anyway, let’s talk about the news! (more…)

Welcome to Wednesday! My husband was out of town this weekend (more on that later) and I played roughly one thousand years of The Sims 4 in his absence. Since the last time I played, they seem to have added a mechanic that makes my sims unhappy because I don’t fulfill enough of their wishes and desires. Um, hello? This ain’t about you, Alexis and Michael. This is about me and my desire to have a beautiful Victorian-style home and chickens. I don’t care if you hate your job as a critic, we are going to build this damn house with your salary! Sorry about it!!
Anyway, here’s the news. (more…)

Welcome to Get Your Game On! My name is December and I’m your host this week. I’ve been replaying God of War in anticipation of Ragnarok and as much as I love the game, I’m already dreading getting to the place where Atreus becomes a little shit—but I do wonder how much of that will come back as he grows into himself as a god. Anyway! We’ve got gaming news, so let’s get to it. (more…)

Hello and welcome to Get Your Game On! Did you miss me? I, Maddi, am back again for another dose of news this week. I am still just as into Dicey Dungeons as I was last week, so not much has changed on that front. But if YOU have played anything you think we should know about, let us know in the comments, or, if you’re a member of our Patreon at the Sega Genesis tier or higher, drop us a recommendation in our Discord! If you feel so moved as to pitch us, our editors’ inboxes are cursed with a terrible, unsettling hunger, and we would love for you to feed them. Anyway, here’s the news. (more…)

Ohhhhhh boy. Oh boy. Welcome to Get Your Game On. It’s me, Maddi, back after taking November off to get married. How have you been? Play anything good lately? I’ve been hunting shrines in Breath of the Wild for the last month and a half to de-stress, though in light of this week’s news it’s… not really working, and I’m down to my last nineteen shrines. I’d say I’m excited to be back for your weekly news roundup, but it’s been an exceptionally rough week in a rough couple of months for the industry. Let’s get to it. (more…)
