This month’s game is a great little two-player game called Jaipur. The game’s introduction states that the aim is to try and become the “Maharaja’s personal trader by being richer than your opponent at the end of each week.” You spend three weeks, or rounds, collecting and selling goods like diamonds, gold, silver, cloth, spices, and leather. There are friendly camels to help you, and the more goods you sell at one time the better bonuses you get. At the end of each round, the person with the highest amount of money wins, and it’s best of three rounds.

The Deep Forest is a role-playing game based on the idea that a group of monsters have driven off the humans and reclaimed their land. They have one year before the Heroes will return, and the monster’s time will end. Until then, it is the monster’s opportunity to make the area their own. (more…)

Annalise is a tabletop role-playing game that focuses on a group of people who have caught the attention of a vampire. This doesn’t have to be a literal blood-sucking Dracula impersonator, as the game is as much about creating a mood and competing with your friends until the final showdown between you and the vampire.

Murderous Ghosts is a tabletop role-playing game that allows you and a friend to scare the living daylights out of each other. One of you pretends to be an urban explorer who has arrived in the basement of a building, while the other pretends to be a murderous ghost (or ghosts) just waiting to be discovered. It’s super creepy fun, perfect for Halloween!
