When it comes to immersive experience LARPs, Jackalope LARP of Austin, TX is at the top of its class. After the success of The Night in Question, a Vampire: the Masquerade LARP held by Jackalope last November, they announced their newest event for May 2019—Cyberpunk: Night City, a Cyberpunk 2020 LARP. There has been a lot of negativity and poison within gaming culture of late, but on October 25th, over 40,000 gamers set all that aside to do what we do best in a 24-hour gaming marathon in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. I am so very thankful to friends and family who helped me reach my goal, and so proud of my fellow gamers for making this event bigger and better every year. Other than pesky colds and the occasional flu (damn you, back to school germs!), my kids are fairly healthy, and for this, I am extremely thankful. But my heart forever goes out to the children and parents who are not so fortunate which is why, for the third year running, I’ll be participating in the Extra Life gaming marathon on October 25, 2014.
