GYGO: The Military is Still on Twitch, but so Are Vtubers

Hello and welcome to GYGO! I’m Joesph, your local good hunter, and I’ve been spending a lot of my time chilling with the doll in Bloodborne this week. That is, until i got distracted by Control‘s AWE DLC, which I’m now deep in. In between I’ve also found the time to pick up embroidery, which is actually super fun. Anyway between my thousand hobbies I also found some great, and not so great, news for this week! (more…)

GYGO: Collective Bargaining Wins as Army Rejoins Esports Scene

Hello and welcome to GYGO! I’m Joesph, your local island-dwelling gamer. Summer vacation hit finally Japanese schools last Monday, just in time for a string of typhoons to barrage the southern coast (i.e. my house). I can’t really complain though, it gives me the excuse my adult brain needs to finally get shoulders-deep into Kingdom Hearts III. Anyway, when I wasn’t bowing to the peer pressure of middle schoolers and writing haiku, I was scouring the web for this week’s gaming news—just for you! (more…)

Hello and welcome to GYGO! I’m Joesph, your local rain lover, and yesterday I went for a walk in a summer storm just to feel what it is to be a frog. Unfortunately that pleasant image has little to do with this week’s news, which left me feeling all kinds of skeeved out. I’m gonna go drink some tea and listen to an Animal Crossing soundtrack for a bit, but you go ahead and read on. (more…)

Review: Dead Friend Reached Across the Veil and Brought Me Closer to the Living

Here in Kyushu, Japan, the past few days have been hot and wet. It’s Tsuyu, or the rainy season, a month and a half of near-constant tropical storms. It’s a time when the air is thick with something ethereal, and heat exhaustion and nighttime hours make the supernatural feel possible.
