Happy Wednesday! What games are you playing lately? I bought Marvel’s Avengers, which released last week, and can’t wait to start playing it today. I’m mostly excited to play as Kamala Khan, but I’m curious how the other Avengers’ powers will be used as well. I’ve been playing a lot of Skyrim on Switch, especially the Thieves Guild questline. Something about Skyrim‘s very clear objectives and linear progression of a questline is really therapeutic to me versus the uncertainty of real life. Let us know on Twitter what games you’re playing!

Marvel’s Avengers Guides and Reviews

Marvel’s Avengers released last week and quickly topped the UK physical sales charts, though its sales were less than a third of Marvel’s Spider-Man when it released. This doesn’t account for digital sales, though. The game features a single-player campaign and a co-op mode. The Verge’s review points out some aspects of the single-player campaign that could have been better, and Polygon has rounded up its guides to various parts of the game. Polygon’s Laura Dale reviewed the single-player campaign and praised Kamala’s narrative arc as well as the overall story.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 Released

Another long-awaited, much-hyped game released last week: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2. The game includes, among many other things, a playable character with the voice and likeness of Jack Black. Here’s a beginner’s guide to the game.

K/DA and Seraphine Collab

League of Legends‘ fictional kpop group, K/DA, will be collaborating with Riot Games’ fictional influencer Seraphine.

If you’re unfamiliar with K/DA and why a fictional pop group—though their songs are very real, extremely catchy, and feature two of my favorite real-life kpop stars, Miyeon and Soyeon of (G)I-DLE—is so popular, just know that Riot Games has been astoundingly good at viral marketing featuring these characters from their in-game universe. K/DA even has a new official comic, K/DA Harmonies:

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer Footage Leaks

While more information about Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer mode is scheduled to be revealed today (September 9th), a 4-minute clip with multiplayer footage leaked last week. I can’t help but feel like these graphics aren’t as vivid and high res as I’d expect? The building surfaces in this clip don’t have detailed textures and shadows.
