GYGO: Resident Evil 3, NieR Replicant Remastered, and More

Happy Wednesday! What games are you playing lately? I finally played Detroit: Become Human and I’m obsessed! I finished two playthroughs, one with Markus being completely militant and one with him being completely pacifist. I was happy that I got Markus/North as lovers in both playthroughs. I adore Connor and I’m excited to watch how YouTubers including Materwelonz and QueenTofu made different choices.

NieR Replicant Remastered Announced

The predecessor to the popular NieR: Automata, NieR Replicant, is getting a remaster for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The teaser trailer gives us a first look at NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139.

NieR Replicant was originally released for PS3 in Japan, while the release in other markets and for Xbox 360 was a different version titled NieR Gestalt.

Square Enix also announced a new game for Android and iOS called NieR Reincarnation. In other NieR news, NieR: Automata BECOME AS GODS Edition comes to Xbox Game Pass this week.

Modern Warfare 2 Remastered

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, originally released in 2009, gets a surprise remaster out this week.

Resident Evil 3 Jill Valentine Trailer and Resident Evil Resistance Beta

Resident Evil 3 releases on April 3rd, and we have a new trailer featuring Jill Valentine:

Meanwhile, the beta for Resident Evil Resistance, a new multiplayer horror survival game, has been postponed on PS4 and PC due to technical issues but is already available on Xbox One.

Board Game Remix Kit

The Board Game Remix Kit is now available for free. It offers ideas for new games using pieces of games you might already have, like Monopoly, Scrabble, and Clue.

• If you’re a PS Plus subscriber, starting April 7th you’ll have access to Uncharted 4 and Dirt Rally 2.0 for free.
• Final Fantasy VII Remake devs made the decision to ship physical copies of the game early rather than risk them arriving late due to COVID-19 complications, so there’s a chance that buyers in Europe, Australia, and possibly even the Americas will receive their copies ahead of the April 10 official release date. With intentional early shipping, it will be much harder to avoid spoilers of images and videos.

• Mario Galaxy, Mario 64, and Mario Sunshine are reportedly being remastered for Switch. A new Paper Mario has also been reported to be in the works.
• Titan Comics will release a Horizon Zero Dawn comic series this year.
• Ring Fit Adventure (which I enthusiastically recommend!) released a free update including a rhythm game mode, a female-voiced version of the character Ring, and a freeform jogging option where you can run through the courses without battling.
