Announcing the American Tabletop Awards

Big news in tabletop this week was the announcement of the new American Tabletop Awards. According to their website, discussions began back in December 2018 with the goal to “create an award that focused on highlighting great games for the American audience.” Award categories include Early Gamers, Casual Games, Strategy Games and Complex Games. The inaugural committee has also released the 2019 award winners.

John Wick Hex Trailer and Release Date

2019 does feel like the year of Keanu Reeves, The trailer to the video game tie-in to the John Wick movie franchise has dropped. Although the game’s style is spot on, some fans may find the graphics lacking. It reminds me of The Wolf Among Us, and I’m curious how it will work with an action-packed strategy game. The announcement kicked off with a fancy media event that included an escape room and costumes from the John Wick movies. The game is set to be released October 8, 2019.

A Stealthy Goose Sneaks into Australia’s Top Nintendo Games

You know, some days you just want to be a goose. The game developers at House House know it too. They created Untitled Goose Game so you can sneak around the neighborhood, wreaking havoc as you steal items from your human counterparts. In a genre where stealth generally equates to violence, there’s something pure about playing a jerky goose.
