Howdy, gaming lovelies! Feels like I’m still recovering from the whirlwind that was the Boston Festival of Indie Games last weekend. I am excited to hear that an indie game I’ve been following for years, Jenny LeClue, has been released. Are there any indies you’re looking forward to?
Big news in tabletop this week was the announcement of the new American Tabletop Awards. According to their website, discussions began back in December 2018 with the goal to “create an award that focused on highlighting great games for the American audience.” Award categories include Early Gamers, Casual Games, Strategy Games and Complex Games. The inaugural committee has also released the 2019 award winners.
2019 does feel like the year of Keanu Reeves, The trailer to the video game tie-in to the John Wick movie franchise has dropped. Although the game’s style is spot on, some fans may find the graphics lacking. It reminds me of The Wolf Among Us, and I’m curious how it will work with an action-packed strategy game. The announcement kicked off with a fancy media event that included an escape room and costumes from the John Wick movies. The game is set to be released October 8, 2019.
Had an awesome night out for #johnwickhex and managed to play some of the game which I really loved! 💕

A Stealthy Goose Sneaks into Australia’s Top Nintendo Games
You know, some days you just want to be a goose. The game developers at House House know it too. They created Untitled Goose Game so you can sneak around the neighborhood, wreaking havoc as you steal items from your human counterparts. In a genre where stealth generally equates to violence, there’s something pure about playing a jerky goose.
The last couple of days have been overwhelming and incredible. It was a very strange feeling waking up yesterday to see our game at #1 in Australia on Nintendo's charts.
A deep and sincere thanks to anyone who has played and enjoyed our Untitled Goose Game. pic.twitter.com/bcVmgdlEX1
